ArtNearME
With Scott Price
ArtNearMe is an educational project designed to connect students from Geelong schools with their local cultural spaces. Led by Scott Price, the Cultural Precinct Tours will offer an engaging exploration of Geelong’s vibrant arts scene. Along the way, Scott will interview fellow ensemble members and professionals working within these cultural spaces, providing students with unique insights into the local arts community.
The tours include visits to:
- Back to Back Theatre
- Platform Arts
- Geelong Arts Centre
- Geelong Gallery
- Geelong Library and Heritage Centre
In 2025, we will collaborate with Indie College, which is opening a new campus on Gheringhap Street this year.
Our goal is to increase awareness and interest in Geelong’s Creative Industries, foster community engagement, and create pathways for future employment. This initiative also aims to build connections with a new school, particularly supporting students who have disengaged from mainstream education and may not have had opportunities to engage with the arts.
