Back to Back Theatre began in a little community service provider in the northern suburbs of Geelong, about 37 years ago. “People were just trying to get jobs.” People saw the potential of what was being offered and they joined. In 2024, Back to Back was awarded the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement by the Venice Biennale. This astounding journey would not have been possible without our community; our artists and our supporters. Thank you for being part of this amazing journey.“While we have this global reach, we’ve never really left Geelong and our community.”
