Sarah Mainwaring
Sarah trained in the performing arts at Victoria University, Footscray, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts. She has performed in numerous theatre projects at La Mama Theatre, and in many community events and performance projects. She has developed a number of original solo performances; Foreign Body, directed by John Bolton and I’m me and I’m OK and Out on a Limb directed by Lloyd Jones with performances at La Mama, The Melbourne Fringe and 45 Downstairs. Sarah performs the lead role of Lesley in Back to Back’s Food Court and has also toured with community residency project The Democratic Set to Switzerland, Belgium, Germany. Sarah was involved in devising Ganesh Versus the Third Reich.
Sarah has a particular interest in avant garde and physical theatre and is a member of the dance group Weave and and Errols Angels Choir. She also has an abiding love of horses, competing in the State and National Championships from 1992-2002. Sarah owns three horses including the foal of champion Sweedish warmblood, Rasputin.
