04 June 2012 Hell House - Provocation, Belief & Morality season announced

Together with Arts House, we are pleased to announce the upcoming season of Hell House – Provocation, Belief & Morality from August 3-5 at the Meat Market.

Using a staged performance of the live theatre show Hell House as a catalyst for discussion, Back to Back Theatre is initiating three community forums on themes of provocation, belief and morality.

Performed by 40 community actors from Geelong and south-western Victoria, Hell House will be staged as a museum would exhibit a cultural or religious artefact.

The post-performance forums will be panel based with speakers from a diverse range of disciplines and opinions, creating an atmosphere of open discourse between the panel and the audience.

The forum topics and facilitators are Provocation with Scott Stephens (Friday, 3 August 2012), Belief with Dr. Rachael Kohn (Saturday, 4 August 2012) and Morality with Peter Mares (Sunday, 5 August 2012).

Hey guys – this looks really fascinating – bravo! I’ve long been interested in ethics, morality, values and art. The arts are where we examine this stuff as a society.. All the best with it..
