21 December 2011 GANESH at the Vienna Festival

Following its daring debut at the Melbourne Festival this year, there has been a lot of interest from overseas presenters. We hope to be able to announce more performance seasons of our new baby in the coming months.

GANESH VERSUS THE THIRD REICH is the second Australian production to be presented at the fabulous Vienna Festival so we feel very honored to be invited there.

The season will run from 24 – 27 May 2012.

This is the epic journey of an elephant headed Hindu god who seeks to go one-on-one with Hitler. As our hero Ganesh cuts a swathe through Germany we embark on a wildly inventive ride through history, where sacred icons and rituals become weapons of theatrical production.

21 January 2011 Back to Back is looking for Staff

Back to Back Theatre has received support to build its staffing capacity. Three new positions have been created; General Manager, Marketing & Relationships Manager, and Production Manager. All positions are being offered for a trial period of 12 months but it is Back to Back Theatre’s intent the roles will roll over into 2012 and beyond.

The new positions coincide with the construction of a new dedicated rehearsal space and offices for Back to Back Theatre, at the rear of its current home in the Old Courthouse Building in the Geelong Arts Precinct. The spaces are slated for completion during the course of 2011.

Depending on the skills and experience of individuals, Back to Back Theatre is open to applicants with interest in the positions as a full-time or part-time (0.6EFT).

As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), Back to Back Theatre is able to offer salary packaging as per ATO guidelines.
